JS is a full time lady GP partner at Kingsholm Surgery. She Joined the practice in 2013. Born in 1964, she is a married granny. Before going to Bristol University as a mature student, to study medicine, she was a qualified general nurse, midwife, and practice nurse. She lives in Gloucester.

Juliet enjoys all aspects of General Practice- including women’s health (and men’s too!), gynaecology. She performs all of the joint injections in house- and offers all forms of contraception. Also, minor surgery- in house. As well as her Human Family, she lives with a Labrador, a Lizard and 3 Chickens. It’s a privilege to care for Kingsholm patients.

Dr Upasana Bhandari

I qualified as a GP in 2012. I started working at Kingsholm Surgery in 2018.I was born in India and qualified as a doctor in 1999. I finished my surgical training there and moved to UK after marriage in 2006. I changed to family medicine after coming to England.

I live in Cheltenham with my family, but Gloucester has always been my work place as I trained here as GP. Surgical background enhances my clinical skills, however, I am equally interested in all aspects of family medicine. I offer all forms of contraception including implants and coils.

Dr Emeka Egere, male

GP Qualified 2009, University of Nigeria

I am a part-time salaried GP who graduated from the University of Nigeria College of Medicine in 2009 and recently qualified as a GP from North Worcestershire. Prior to my UK GP training, I had worked for many years in Nigeria, in General Surgery, General Medicine, and Obstetrics, and had a year’s job in UK in a private surgical setting.

I am a married man with 3 lovely kids and currently reside in Worcester with my family. I enjoy my work as a generalist and bring my previous diverse experiences to bear in patient care. I like my role in ensuring continuing of care in the community and have an interest in minor surgery and am the Practice lead for Minor Surgery. I am still evolving in my areas of special interest. In my spare time, I tend my garden, enjoy green spaces and evenings out.

Dr Pejman Zoroufchian Moghadam

Dr Pejman Zoroufchian Moghadam (M) MBBS, M.D., MSc , MRCGP ( M.D qualified in 2013)

I did research and master’s degree in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience in 2018 in the UK and finished my GP training in 2021, in Gloucestershire. I am a GP with special interest in Dementia. I enjoy being a generalist but have a special interest in dementia and mental health, minor surgery, joint injections, and cardiology.

I live with my wife who is a hospital doctor. I have no children and so get a lot of time to enjoy playing electric guitar, travelling and going to concerts.

Dr Raffaele Bertone

Dr Raffaele Bertone, male

MD Qualified 1987 – Rome (Italy)

Raffaele Bertone is a GP who works as a long term locum with a number of Gloucester practices. He graduated in Rome in 1987. His association with Kingsholm Surgery spans over 2 decades.

He has two adult children. One is a language graduate and the other decided to follow his father’s footsteps into Medicine. He enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a special interest in headaches, cardiology and acupuncture. In his spare time he enjoys travelling, music, photography, history and good food.
